Common Asked Question
Answers to the things learners ask most. If you’re unsure, start here.
-
How do I join GRLDC?
Start by reaching out through our contact form or the “Become a Member” button. We’ll walk you through the three membership categories — Founding, Gold, and Silver — and help you identify the right fit for your company’s size and goals. Once you select a category, you’ll complete a short membership application and submit the one-time $95 application fee. Your access to briefings, events, and the member directory begins as soon as your application is approved.
-
What’s the renewal process?
Memberships run on an annual cycle. You’ll receive a renewal notice roughly 30 days before your term ends, along with an invoice for the coming year. There’s no reapplication and no second application fee — simply confirm your category and submit payment to keep your benefits uninterrupted. If your business has grown or your priorities have shifted, renewal is a natural point to move to a different category.
-
How are variable dues calculated?
Dues are scaled to your business size rather than charged at a single flat rate, so smaller firms aren’t priced out and larger ones contribute proportionally. Your category — Founding, Gold, or Silver — sets your baseline, and your specific dues are confirmed during the application review. The one-time $95 application fee is separate from annual dues. Contact us for a dues estimate based on your company profile.
-
What’s included at each membership level?
All three categories include policy briefing access, networking events, and advocacy support. Silver adds member committee participation, a directory listing, and educational workshops. Gold layers on advisory committee participation, policy development input, and marketing collaboration. Founding is the premier level — executive board representation, direct input on policy initiatives, quarterly strategy sessions, and custom advocacy support. A full side-by-side breakdown lives on the Membership page.
-
5. Can I upgrade my membership category?
Yes, and you can do it at any point in your membership year. Reach out to us and we’ll show you what changes at the next level and calculate the prorated difference for the remainder of your term. Many members start at Silver to get a feel for the work, then move up as their involvement in policy and advocacy deepens.
